Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week: Christian Dior

Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week: Christian Dior

Hi guys,

I’m back today with my next blog post centred around Haute Couture Fashion Week which is taking place in Paris at the moment. I have a real love and passion for Haute Couture, so much so I managed to encorporate it into one of my presentations in college last year. Well, it’s definitely easier to study something that you love rather than a topic that you’re given, right?

The second show that I wanted to feature in the series is one of the most noted Haute Couture fashion houses – Christian Dior. This is the first show without Dior’s former head designer, Raf Simons. Simons had always managed to get rave reviews from top fashion editors about his work on Dior’s collections so when Dior employees Serge Ruffieux and Lucie Meier jointly took over the role, the world sat with bated breath to see what the duo had to showcase.

The colour palette for the collection was muted, featuring a lot of black, cream and grey tones but every so often there is an injection of colour in the form of embellishments and little details that make the garments so delicate and rich looking. Here are some of my favourite looks from the runway.

That’s my take on the Dior show and as I’ve mentioned before I’ll be doing my best to keep up to date with my other favourite shows from Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week as they happen 😄 Let me know what your favourite looks are by leaving a comment below or getting in touch on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Love, Denise x
