Style Round Up: BAFTA TV Awards 2016

Hello girlies,

I had to take a break from the study this evening to drool over all the fashion on the red carpet for the BAFTA TV Awards. Of course, it was purely just the style I was interested in so I couldn’t tell you who won which awards 🙈😂 The ceremony was sponsored by House of Fraser so the style stakes were high. As always, I only feature my favourite looks on Holy Chic as everyone interprets fashion differently, so I’m not here to slate someone’s outfit or say they looked bad.

One of my favourites from the second I saw her was Alesha Dixon! My word, she did this silk dress absolute justice; her body looks incredible so why not go all out and wear it! I think the colour is so rich and love how she accessorised with a gold plated belt and cuff. She looks like a golden goddess and certainly shone on the night.

Another look I loved was Michelle Keegan who stunned in this embellished Adrianna Papell gown. As you know by now, I go weak at the knees for anything that is heavily embellished so it’s no wonder that this is one of my favourites. She really sparkled on the night and I’m obsessed with the side braid in her hair, very grecian inspired! Life in Essex definitely suits this beauty who took to the red carpet with husband Mark Wright, who looked v dapper also.

Katherine Jenkins is the epitome of elegance and she oozed glamour in this navy Suzanne Neville gown. I knew it was one of her designs straight away, Suzanne just creates the most gorgeous, feminine, figure flattering gowns. Katherine looked beautiful in this backless, cowl neck dress, keeping it simple and understated with a soft up do and little earrings.

I didn’t even recognise Kara Tointon at first. I thought she brought some boho chic to the awards in this low cut, embellished dress. It’s a really grecian inspired look and shows off her little figure too. She teamed it with an up do and berry lip 👌🏼kara-rex

A different take on the red carpet was Laura Whitmore’s look. She rocked a black Ralph Lauren jumpsuit and gold accessories, making dressing up for a fancy awards night look so effortless and easy. Laura has a distinctive style, very indie-inspired and fashion forward so I love how she stays true to this on the red carpet too.laura-rex

I had to include Michelle Collins purely because she looks too, too, too good to be 53!! She looked incredible in this white embellished gown with the train, (ooh I do love a good train!) I think she looks half her age here and even better than last year with the yellow dress, which I thought would be a hard look to beat.Michelle-Collins

One look that turned heads was Rochelle Humes who wore this revealing white dress with thigh high slit. It’s a very Kim K inspired look with the choker, slicked back hair and barely-there heels but I think Rochelle looks amazing, definitely the best of her BAFTA looks so far! Her style has evolved a lot even since The Saturday’s split up and I like the direction she’s been going in lately.

Finally, Lucy Mecklenburgh looked every inch the princess in her floor length lilac ‘Zoe’ gown by Sarelle London. The dress featured a foiled floral motif and I can only imagine how that shimmered under the sunshine that evening 😍IMG_0377

Justin Timberlake, Idris Elba and Mark Wright also provided some eye candy for us during proceedings 😉 So that’s enough procrastinating for me for one evening! Let me know which looks you loved or loathed on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Snapchat (👻 holychic_blog 👻)

Love, Denise x
