It’s a dilemma we’ve all been faced with before ladies. You want to just wear jeans and a nice top, but you CAN’T find the right top! Whether it’s a last minute night out, casual date or a chilled Sunday lunch, we’ve all been there. Well this week I’ve put together a look from DV8 to solve the 8th mystery of the woman’s world.
DV8 Fashion
I pulled this look together bearing everyone in mind. It would look great on women of absolutely any age, it’s extremely versatile and could be easily dressed up or down. DV8 have a huge selection of trendy clothes for both women and men on their website and in their 14 stores in the Republic of Ireland. I popped in to their store on the Main Street in Wexford town just last week. They have new arrivals weekly in their clothing and footwear departments. Carrying brands like Superdry, Vila, Converse, Calvin Klein, Only, Lipsy and Vero Moda, it’s a haven for fashion.
Feeling Blue?
Well you needn’t with this gorgeous little top. It ticks all the summer style boxes. It features a soft bell sleeve and pinstripe design. What drew my eye to it was the crochet detail on the sleeves. Subtle little accents like that really make a piece. The top is from the label AX Paris and I just added my own plain white cami underneath.
It’s the ideal top for the summer time; wouldn’t it be cute with off white jeans and a pop of colour in your shoes? I adore the fit of it too; I like that it has a sleeve and isn’t too fitted. This makes it appropriate for a lot of age groups as well. I’ve teamed it with jeans for this look but it could be dressed up for other occasions by tucking it into a skirt. Finish the look with a heel and you’re ready for dinner and drinks.

It’s in the ‘Jeans’
The jeans I chose for this look are by the brand ONLY. They are the Royal Skinny Jean and my goodness girls, they’re the best denims I’ve worn in a long time! Skinny jeans are the best fit for my shape but sometimes I find it hard to get a pair that hugs me in the right places, (you know the struggle, right?!). These high waisted jeans are ONLY’s high-performance stretch denim. They’re super soft and move with your body.
The only way I can describe them is like a tummy tuck in a jeans! The quality of the denim makes your bum look amazing too which is a huge bonus! They hold their shape really well too. I would say that the sizing is true to fit, so if you’re a 10, go for the size 10. They also accommodate every height with their Short (30 inch), Regular (32) and Long (34) leg lengths. I’m roughly 5’7″ and wore the Short length.
Finishing Touches
I finished the look with some tan accessories for a casual, slightly nautical inspired look. Sunglasses were essential on this June afternoon, a rare occurrence in Ireland! This outfit is something you could wear to Sunday lunch, for a day out with the family or shopping with friends. Heading away on holidays? This combination will be cool and comfortable as you stroll around the chic city streets.
