A little bit of background first…

A couple of months ago I was asked to help the Wexford Rape Crisis Centre with their next fundraiser. Of course, I said yes as I am only delighted to help charitable causes in any way that I can. The charity provide much needed services and support for men, women and young people across county Wexford from their centre on Clifford Street, Wexford Town. Since it began in 1995, they have been a source of confidential counselling and support for survivors. I won’t go in to too much detail but you can find everything you need to know on their website; wexfordrapecrisis.com . Their service is in such demand that current funding doesn’t cover the cost of keeping the centre open. This led the committee to look in to other methods of fundraising and they came up with the ‘Best of Wexford’ concept.

The Main Stage

Celebrity chef, Kevin Dundon will take to the stage for a cookery demonstration which will be sure to go down a treat. Cooking is definitely not my strong point so I’m hoping to pick up some tips myself! After the cooking demo, I will be on stage to show you how to build the best winter wardrobe. I will style 3 looks centred around key pieces for the season from some of Wexford’s most coveted boutiques.

Samantha Kelly, the Tweeting Goddess will be there to tweet up a storm and shout about the best social media posts on the hashtag #BestOfWexford so make sure to tweet, snap, share and post online if you’re there. There are plenty of raffle prizes and an amazing door prize to be won also.

Could You be Our Makeover Winner?

The finale of the show will centre around the winner of a competition that was run on South East Radio. We were looking for one lucky person that deserves a total transformation! This includes a completely new hairstyle from Salon Diva; make up application from the top make up artist from Sam McCauleys Chemist, nails and eyebrow shaping from The Nail Boutique and I will style the winner in an outfit from two of the most stylish stores in town; Si Jolie and Pamela Scott. We really wanted to treat a deserving winner to this makeover – perhaps they haven’t been having the best year or they are always looking after everyone else and not indulging in any ‘me-time’. Hannah was the winner of the competition on DriveTime on South East Radio and I can’t wait for everyone to see her new look!
