What I Wore: NYE 2015

This post is coming a little late as I had major issues uploading the photos 🙄 #BloggerProblems 🙈 So as I mentioned in my 2015 Highlights post, I celebrated the New Year with some of my closest friends. A group of us met in a pub in town, (town being Enniscorthy), while it was temporarily above water 😬 and then on to Benedicts nightclub. I have a fantastic group of friends and when we all get together its guaranteed to be a laugh! NYE was no different and it was nice to catch up and see how everyone’s Christmas went.

NYE is a rare occasion where OTT style is acceptable for one night and one night only! I had bought this outfit from ASOS originally for my 21st birthday but my heart was set on the dress that I ended up wearing. Instead of returning this two piece, I held on to it knowing that sequins would definitely get an outing over the Christmas period.

The two piece is a spaghetti strap dress with a plain top and totally sequin embellished skirt. Then you have the sequinned crop top that you pop on over the dress. What I love about this is that you can style it loads of different ways – the dress on its own, both pieces together for major sparkle or the top paired with a pencil skirt or tailored trousers. My heels are my Lady Peeps by Christian Louboutin.

I introduced some pinky tones into my make up to highlight the pink shine in the outfit – you can’t really see it in the photos but there was a pink hue on the sequins. I just used Naked 3 on the eyes with the PS… Individual Eyelashes from Penney’s. I’m wearing a NYX lipstick in shade Strawberry Milk which is really moisturising and pigmented, with a layer of Sexy MotherPucker by Soap & Glory to finish.
