My 2017 Christmas Wishlist

Genuinely, I cannot believe that I’m already writing my 2017 Christmas wish list. It feels like only yesterday that I was writing the 2016 one. This past year has just flown by, an absolute whirlwind! Between starting a new job, graduating and juggling all the opportunities that have come from my blog, the months have come and gone in the blink of an eye. Christmas is a time of year that I look forward to work wise. Obviously, in retail it’s a mental couple of weeks and I thrive off that buzz. It’s literally the craziest time of year and it’s all about those sales over the counter. Anyway, today’s post is bursting with the items on my own wish list this Christmas. Hopefully it will provide you with some inspiration for gifts for yourself or a loved one.

Neewer Ring Light

First on my list is a ring light. So I have the camera, (the Olympus Pen) and I have the know how to take a decent picture, but living in Ireland, there’s one thing I don’t have for most of the year – lighting. When it comes to taking pictures, whether it’s for a blog post or a new profiler, (c’mon girls, we all do it!) there’s a teeny tiny window of opportunity between 11am and 5pm from May to August that you can work in, otherwise forget about it! So the Neewer Ring Light would be a welcome addition. They’re not terribly expensive when you think about it either – this light and stand combo comes in at €120. It is an investment but for someone that will get great use out of it, it’s well worthwhile. Also, I’m sure if you shop around, there are cheaper alternatives. This is just a particular brand that has come highly recommended to me.

Bruno Mars Tickets

My man, Bruno Mars, is coming back to Ireland to play in Marley Park this July, (coincidentally by birth-month, so I have to go, right?! 😏) for one night only. I went to his gig in the 3Arena this year with my bestie and wow, what a night! He put on the best show ever, from beginning to end, it was just incredible. We then went out on the town and overall, it was just a fantastic weekend so I would 100% go and see him again. Bruno hasn’t released any new music since then and it’s the same 24K Magic World Tour but I just know that it would still be amazing. If you haven’t seen him and you’re somewhat a fan of his music, definitely go and see him live – you’ll be converted to a super fan instantly! Tickets come in at €79.50 each on Ticketmaster, so who’s coming with me?! 🙋🏽

Blank Canvas Magnimarble Set 

I know, I know, I could sell makeup brushes at this stage, my own collection is so big but just look at how beautiful this new Blank Canvas set is! The Magnimarble set contains 10 marble finish brushes and a magnetic frame holder. They’re totally Instagram-worthy and gorgeous to look at with the copper ferrule and soft grey-in-to-white hairs. The set retails for €100 so that works out at €10 per brush. This means you make a saving as some of Blank Canvas’s brushes similar to those in the set retail for €15 individually. I have a couple of Blank Canvas brushes and I have to say the quality is fantastic. The also wash and wear extremely well, which is important when it comes to makeup brushes. This Works ‘Dream to Sleep’ Gift Set

If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll know that I’ve been finding it harder and harder to sleep lately. My mind goes in to overdrive once my head hits the pillow and it could take me hours to drift off. I asked for some suggestions on natural remedies and you came back with some great ones. A sleep spray was definitely the most highly recommended product so I’ve spotted this set on Meaghers.ie. This Works are a brand that produce sleep solutions and all day skincare. Their products are made of a superblend of fragrance, actives and oils to work with the internal body clock. BPerfect LMD Master Palette

I have two huge weaknesses when it comes to makeup; concealers and makeup palettes. I’m a junkie when it comes to them so when Irish cosmetics company BPerfect announced that they were releasing a palette in collaboration with Louise McDonnell, I was instantly intrigued. Louise is an incredibly talented make up artist from Belfast and is probably best known as the MUA for Suzanne Jackson’s wedding earlier this year. Together with Brendan from BPerfect Cosmetics, (an entrepreneur that I greatly admire!), they have created a master palette which features 15 colours; everything from eyeshadows to bronzer, blush and a highlighter. This is an all-in-one palette, particularly ideal for anyone that’s on the go a lot or someone that wants to travel light. The fabulous Lauren Doyle used this palette when she did my makeup for the Best of Wexford event and I’ve been dying for it ever since! Merry Christmas

Are you all set for Christmas? With only 4 days to go, I hope you are. Or maybe you’re like me – hardly anything done, up the walls, with an ‘It’ll be grand’ attitude 😝 Don’t forget, it’s just one day out of 365.
