You may think it’s strange to see boots still in the realm of fashion for the spring-summer season, but this year they’re on the rise. I recently attended an event and all 3 guests were sporting a pair in one form or another; Angela Scanlon in a spectacular glittery pair, Brianne Delcourt in a fierce snake print version and style queen Pippa O’Connor choose to wear a super chic cream style. And as I learned at a Fashion Trend Forecasting course I finished recently, “thrice a trend”.
I’ve had a look across the internet for some stylish knee high boots, everything from classic black to more adventurous styles. The links included in this post are affiliate links. I’ve also named everything if you’d rather find them yourself online but a little AF link doesn’t hurt, right?
Kicking things off with these PrettyLittleThing boots. The round toe and block heel make them super wearable, even if they are white. How fab would they look with a great tan, denim cut offs and an oversized blazer? They’re €58 online here.
Not for the faith-hearted, these snake print boots are a real statement. They’re also from PrettyLittleThing and retail for €70. PLT regularly have discount codes so definitely keep an eye out for one!
These are definitely one of my favourite styles. You can’t beat a classic black boot if you want something versatile. The slightly pointed toe elongates the leg. What I love about these is that PrettyLittleThing carry a Wide Fit variety. They would be a bit more spacious around the calf, making them fit much better than a regular style for me. They’re coming in at €65 online here.
The square toe is super chic and these gorgeous croc-embossed boots also come in an ankle boot cut. They’re on the NastyGal website here, which regularly offers discounts on their items. For example, this pair are usually €77 but at the time of publishing, they’re reduced by 50% to just €38.50 – bargain!
These black boots will be your best friend, easily taking you from day to night. They’re from BooHoo and have a slightly rounded toe and block heel, meaning they are super comfy. Teamed with a floral tea dress or faux leather shorts and a slogan tee; either way, you’re good to go.
A darker colour like these animal print boots will transcend the seasons, from summer in to winter easily. The size range in these Zara boots is limited now as they’re in their sale online for just €49.99. If you’re a UK size 5, 6 or 7 though, you’re in luck!!
Possibly my favourite pair of boots is this taupe style from Missguided. They’re a real treat, retailing at €82.99 but I think the block heel and rounded toe makes them really wearable. The snack effect is really subtle on this faux leather, a really chic look.
