Beauty Empties: No. 7 Eye Makeup Remover

There are certain products in my makeup bag or stacked on my beauty shelves, like the No. 7 Eye Makeup Remover, that take pride of place. There’s always a spot dedicated to them and when they’re running low, you know it’s time to repurchase, pronto! These are my must have beauty products, the ones I would struggle without. They have been such good finds for me, that I want to share them with you in a series of posts, similar to the empties YouTube trend but just in some short and snappy blogs.

Let’s kick things off…

…with a product I have been using for over 6 years! This is the No.7 Radiant Results Revitalising Eye Makeup Remover, (a mouthful of a name, I know!!) For me, removing my eye makeup is the first step of my nighttime skincare routine. I have quite a large eye space so I wear eyeshadow and mascara on the daily. Long time followers of my social media will know I love a good eye makeup look. So personally, a good quality remover is essential.

The Radiant Results…

…eye makeup remover is a dual action formula so when the bottle has stood for a while, you can actually see the oil and water separate. I give the bottle a really good shake to mix both parts and apply on to a cotton pad. It’s a smooth, gentle product and there is no strong fragrance. It’s suitable for people that wear contact lenses or have sensitive eyes also.

The 2 part product separates in to oil and water.

Considering it’s suitable for sensitive eyes, this doesn’t mean it won’t work super hard for you! This product will remove the Inglot 77 gel liner in a second – believe me, I’ve tried it enough times! The oil infusion just melts away makeup and leaves no residue. A gentle swipe with the cotton pad and you’re done. I really love that about this eye makeup remover as the eyes are a very delicate area so I don’t like to do too much rubbing or wiping.

It removes heavy eye makeup, like this, easily!

Another selling point…

…is that you don’t need to use much product at all and it lasts for ages. It retails in Boots for €8.50 and, like most of the No. 7 range, is very often on a promotion like 3 for 2 or BOGOHP. This is when I stock up, but like all beauty products, it has an expiry date. This particular product is 6 months from when you open it, so if I do purchase multiples, I make sure to keep one in the press so I’m not going between 2 bottles.

Like I mentioned at the top of the post, I’ve been using this product for over 6 years now and I’ve never had any adverse reaction to it. It’s consistently a winner for me and the fact that it’s suitable for sensitive skin has also gotten me out of a bit of bother at times when I’ve forgotten to bring my regular makeup cleanser away with me – this will do the job in an emergency too!

The only time I’ve avoided using it…

…is when I have semi-permanent eyelash extensions on. Regular lash addicts will know that it’s essential to avoid getting oil near the extensions as it will soften and break down the adhesive. So for the few times I would ever have semi-permanent lashes on, I just remove my eye makeup with plain old H2O. Although it definitely doesn’t herald the same results as the No. 7 eye makeup remover.

When I have eyelash extensions on, like above, I avoid oil based products.
