Hey dolls! It’s Tuesday and I’m straight back to reality after a fabulous day at the Irish Beauty Show yesterday. I was kindly invited by the beauties at Powder ‘n’ Pout. Honestly, I was like a child in a sweet shop with the selection of beauty brands there. I’ll chat about the show later this week but todays post is all about the fashion. 😉 After going to the 2016 show, I knew that I would need to wear something comfy but at the same time stylish. Thankfully these stunning pearl jeans saved the day!
Put A Bow On It 🎀
I planned my outfit around these embellished denims from local boutique, Put A Bow On It. Based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Aoife opened the boutique in 2011. I’ve watched it go from strength to strength in the 6 years that have followed. Aoife has an incredible eye for fashion and is ahead of the trends with her boutiques collections. In my opinion, Put A Bow On It is the most fashion-forward boutique in the town so I was delighted when Aoife invited me in-store recently. When I tried these jeans on I just knew they would be perfect for the Beauty Show. They’re a great fit and comfortable for a day-long event. At the same time they have an edgy twist with the pearls, diamonte detail and rips.
They are a mid-rise fit and there is a nice stretch in the denim. It’s stretchy enough to shape your body but doesn’t seem like it will become baggy at all, I’m sure these will hold their shape really well. The pearls are actually studded onto the jeans too, so there’s no need to worry about threads coming loose or glue softening. They’re really a fantastic quality and could easily be dressed up with some heels and an oversized clutch bag.
Pearl Passion
I got so many compliments about the jeans in particular. Women stopped me in their tracks at the show to ask where they were from. Our own Irish style queen, Suzanne Jackson from SoSueMe.ie even took a shine to them. So if you’re on the hunt for something unique and fashionable, Put A Bow On It comes highly recommended. Clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery and fascinators, you’ll find everything under one roof at 20 Main Street, Enniscorthy. It’s not just casual wear either, just one look at their Facebook page and you’ll find lots of stunning occasion wear with the option to pay by deposit too.
Complete The Look
For this look, the jeans were the absolute statement so I kept the rest of the outfit quite minimal. The off-white blouse is from New Look. I adore the belle sleeves, they’re so cute and very much on trend this season. This top would be equally as nice with a little skirt and boots when the weather starts to get warmer or for a fashionable work look with cigarette style pants and a court heel.
The runners are a last-minute.com purchase from Penneys. I bought them in the Wexford store over the weekend. They’re the creeper style of trainer with a chunky sole. They were extremely comfortable for a day spent walking about the RDS – I can’t wait to wear these more over the summer.
