Swedish Nutra are Key to Boosting my Immune System this Winter | Ad

We’re well and truly in to the winter; temperatures have dropped and the dark evenings are in. It’s always so important to mind our immune systems during these months, even more so this year! For the past couple of months I have been building up my immune system thanks to Swedish Nutra. Each day I take these liquid supplements and the results are really incredible.

Manufactured in Sweden…

…and stocked in over 300 leading Irish pharmacies, including McCabes Pharmacy, Swedish Nutra specialise in natural liquid supplements. Personally, I find the liquid form is much easier to take than a traditional tablet. Liquids are also absorbed in to the system more efficiently*, providing optimum results. This is one of the first features that attracted me to Swedish Nutra. They also have powder form supplements that are a great addition to smoothies or can be mixed with water.

Swedish Nutra products are…

…100% natural, lactose free and gluten free. They’re free from preservatives and are packed full of vitamins and minerals! There is a huge variety of supplements in the range. Everything from a multivitamin, to vitamin C and D, collagen to hyaluronic acid. Over the past few months I have taken a few different Swedish Nutra supplements and two that I take regularly are the Vitamin C and D3 and the Hair, Skin & Nails.

Vitamin C and D3

Vitamin C is not produced in the body so it’s so important to get the vitamin intake through food, such as oranges, strawberries, broccoli and spinach, and supplements like Swedish Nutra. The powerful antioxidant boosts immunity, helps to lower blood pressure and can help improve the absorption of iron. While D3 is an amazing vitamin for absorbing and regulating calcium, (calcium obviously super important for healthy bones and teeth). D3 also supports our immune brain and nervous systems. There is Zinc in this supplement too, so great for the immune system and your metabolism.

The main benefit that I have noticed since starting to take Vitamin C and D3, is that my energy levels are through the roof! Obviously, Vitamin C is essential for reducing tiredness and fatigue so that is really helping me lately. I used to wake up tired, even after 7 or 8 hours sleep, I was lethargic. But since I take one cap of Vitamin C & D3 daily, I wake up with a pep in my step. That may also be thanks to the Vitamin D which is well-known as a mood booster.

This liquid supplement is orange flavoured and the recommended daily dosage is 15ml for children aged 3-12 years and 25ml for ages 13+. You can purchase Swedish Nutra’s Vitamin C and D3 supplement from McCabes Pharmacy online here.

Hair, Skin and Nails

If you’re following me with a while, you may already know about my struggle with adult acne. It’s been a journey, but a huge part of tackling the issue has been treating my skin from within. I take a number of different supplements and try to get as many vitamins and minerals from a balanced diet as possible. But that’s not always easy. So Swedish Nutra’s supplement, Hair, Skin and Nails is a god send. As I know I’m getting all of the nutrition I need in one cap-full each day.

There is 1,000mg of Collagen (Type 1 and 3) in each cap which is incredible. As Collagen is like the glue that holds our bodies together. It is a protein that provides structure and over time, naturally enough, our bodies produce less of it. We lose collagen at a rate of 1.5% each year after 30 years old. By the time we are 40, we’ve lost 25% and at 60 years old, we’ve lost 50%*. So taking collagen in a supplement like this is a great way to counteract the fact that we’re producing less of it internally ourselves. The type of Collagen in Hair, Skin and Nails has incredible benefits such as:

  • Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, and improves skin elasticity
  • Reduces sun damage and supports the bone matrix
  • Corrects weak or damaged nail beds
  • Thickens fine hair and slows hair loss

I am at the beginning of my journey with Hair, Skin and Nails but I have high hopes given the amazing results I’ve already seen with the Vitamin C and D3. Again, this is a liquid supplement with a lovely, orange flavour. It is recommended to store them in the fridge. As they’re nicely chilled, this makes it really easy to take each morning. Just one cap, after my breakfast and I’m good to go! You can purchase Swedish Nutra’s Hair, Skin and Nails from McCabes Pharmacy online here.

Like with all Swedish Nutra supplements…

…they’re not designed to replace food, instead to be taken alongside meals, to aid absorption. If you’re uncertain about taking supplements in general, it’s always recommended that you consult with your GP first to ensure that they are what your body needs.

I have piece of mind knowing that I’m doing what I can to help boost my immune system this winter and when taking supplements are as easy as this, it’s a no brainer! I’ll keep you up-to-date with my progress on my Instagram – @holychic.ie – and do let me know in the comments below what you are doing to stay healthy this season.
