For us Irish gals, and especially those of us that are opting out of foreign holidays this year, we tend not to get much mileage out of our summer sandals thanks to our unpredictable weather! So investing in an expensive pair just doesn’t seem like a clever idea. I’ve been doing some bargain hunting in the shoe departments, virtually, and have some brilliant options for the summer that won’t break the bank either.

A summer staple, the cork wedge comes out year after year. When it comes to wearing a sandal for height, a wedge will always be more comfortable than a heel and thanks to the ankle strap on this style, you can wear them with confidence. Dunnes Stores have really upped their game when it comes to clothing and accessories over that last couple of years. This buckle design is so on trend and Insta-worthy. You know I love an affordable designer dupe and these sliders are as close as they come to the iconic Hermes Oran sandal, without the €485 price tag! Featuring a textured design and cut out detail, they would be a super versatile little pair for everyday wear, to bring on your staycation or even to wear to lunch or dinner, if you prefer a more casual look. White Canvas Espadrilles
Staying with the designer dupe theme, Karl Lagerfeld was successful in reinventing the plain old espadrille in to a statement of style for Chanel in 2013. Ever since then, they guaranteed to come up in your Instagram feed summer after summer. This crisp white canvas pair are from ASOS and would be super chic with skinny jeans or denim cut-off shorts. Heeled Toe Thong
I have a little sneak peek for you guys now – Penneys are about to drop these beauties very soon! The toe thong is so on trend right now and I think these stunning heels will be so great for heading out for dinner, or social distancing BBQ’s, (oh the way the world is now).
